Membership in the BFA

You may ask what a BFA membership can do for you and why we need your support. Here are some of the benefits of membership.

When you join online, you will receive an automated notification from our membership web manager, Wild Apricot, which will appear as www//burleson.wildapricot.org.

If you would like to upgrade your membership to levels that receive additional benefits available to Supporter and Premium levels, send an email to member.bfa@gmail.com.

  • We offer Basic, Supporter and Premium levels. Supporter and Premium members will have access to Archives containing new and evolving resources from year to year. All membership levels can use BFA Bulletin Subject Indexes to aid their research, using their personal copies or those housed in various libraries. Premium members will be sent a USB flash drive with searchable PDF files of all bulletins from 1981 through the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

    To receive additional benefits, you may upgrade your Basic membership to either Supporter or Premium level by sending an email to member.bfa@gmail.com.

  • At all levels, your membership helps preserve Burleson research files in a permanent digital archive.

  • Since 1981, BFA has published the Burleson Family Bulletin for our members and more recently added BFA Today, our newsletter.

  • BFA’s board of directors has updated financial and membership levels beginning in 2023 and added new software applications, making administrative records more organized and transparent.

  • BFA is active in DNA studies using specialized applications that aid volunteers in identifying potential Burleson lines. The generalized reports will be offered on the website. However, BFA volunteers cannot provide detailed reports to individuals.

  • Consider joining our projects! BFA is a 501(c) 7 non-profit organization. Volunteers do all the work. Your membership support makes purchasing the domain and website applications, plus many other benefits, possible. Thank you!

  • Although the new website has been launched, not all enhancements and resource offerings are complete. Updates and additions will continue to enrich your experience using the website.
