Updates Coming to the Burleson Family Bulletin In January, 2026 the BFA Board voted to change the format of the Burleson Family Bulletin. The publication will continue as a bi-monthly news magazine combining the current ‘BFA Today’ newsletter and the original BULLETIN. The new version will begin March 1, 2026 and will continue with the name as Burleson Family Bulletin.

2026 will be an interesting and exciting year as the celebrations for “America 250” unfold across the country! The states have websites where you can see information about the activities and initiatives set up.

As we enter the holiday season, alive with fun, games, celebrations, and delicious foods, it is a good time to look back on how our Burleson ancestors celebrated, beginning with their presence in New England.

The celebration of Halloween as we know it today was not a widespread tradition among early American settlers and pioneers, especially in the Puritan-influenced New England colonies.
